We enjoyed another excellent dining experience, this time at the renowned Iván y Justo restaurant. Known for its charming decor and rich history, the walls are adorned with photos of celebrities who have dined there in the past. The atmosphere was delightful, and we instantly felt at home.

Specializing in Cuban and Spanish cuisine, the menu also featured unexpected Japanese touches.
For starters, we shared a plate of ceviche, one of my favorite dishes.

For my main course, I decided to try the tuna tataki. Although I’m usually cautious about ordering this dish abroad, I had a good feeling—and I wasn’t disappointed! While not prepared in the traditional Japanese style, it was absolutely delicious. The portion was generous, but I happily finished it all.
My husband opted for the paella, despite being warned it was a hefty portion for one person. Indeed, it was enough for two, but to our surprise, he managed to finish it all as well! The food was nothing short of excellent.
After dinner, we moved to a rum tasting session. A Rum Master from Havana Club joined us at our table and guided us through two seven-year-aged dark rums, explaining their intricate production process and how to savor their flavors. We were amazed at the depth of "rumnology," rivaling wine appreciation. It was a fascinating and informative session.
Though I forgot to take photos, being too engrossed in the experience, the memory of this wonderful evening at Iván y Justo will stay with us for a long time.
