After a peaceful morning with the seals, we set off for Puerto Pirámide, where we hoped to spot southern right whales later in the evening.

On our way, we stopped for lunch at La Estación, a cozy and colorful restaurant highly recommended by our guide. The atmosphere felt distinctly Argentine, with vibrant decor that instantly put us at ease. The food was excellent, especially the grilled lobster—a dish that lived up to its glowing reputation.

After lunch, our bellies full and our spirits lifted by a couple of beers, we drove to a nearby cliff to rest until evening. Along the way, we even had the thrill of encountering wild horses, adding a touch of magic to our journey.

Finally, the moment arrived to meet the southern right whales. The cold was biting, and our fingers grew numb, but I couldn’t stop snapping photos, eager to capture every special moment with these magnificent creatures. As the sun set, the cliffs were bathed in golden light, making the experience truly extraordinary.

The drive back was an adventure in itself. The landscape was pitch dark, illuminated only by a beautiful full moon. We were a bit on edge, alone on a deserted road with no other cars or lights in sight. The wildness of the night made us anxious, especially with the thought of what might happen if the car broke down.

Thankfully, nothing happened. We hurried back, breathing a sigh of relief when we finally reached the hotel. What an adventurous day it was!
