A Long-Awaited Journey to Patagonia.
After what felt like a lifetime of anticipation, we finally touched down in Puerto Madryn, the gateway to the wild and wondrous region of Patagonia.
As our plane descended, we caught a breathtaking glimpse of the Valdés Peninsula from above—a dramatic sweep of land and sea where we would immerse ourselves for the next five days. The sight alone was enough to make our hearts race with excitement.

Upon landing, we swiftly picked up our rental car and embarked on a four-hour journey to Punta Delgada, where our hotel awaited us. The road stretched out before us, winding through a landscape so raw and beautiful that it felt like stepping into another world. With each passing mile, the vastness and untamed beauty of Patagonia began to unfold, making even the long drive an adventure in itself.

Finally, after what seemed like an endless drive, a distant lighthouse emerged on the horizon, signaling that our destination was near. It stood tall and steadfast, a beacon guiding us to the end of our journey.

At the gate, a woman greeted us with a simple question: "Do you have a reservation?"
"Yes!" I responded with a smile, relieved to have arrived.
She opened the gate, and we drove through, with the lighthouse standing proudly in the background, its form clear against the late afternoon sky. The day was gently easing toward evening, but the sky was still a brilliant blue, holding onto the last light before dusk.

Our room, though simple, exuded a charming warmth that made us feel instantly at home. With a cozy separate living room to unwind in, we finally settled in, letting the peace of this remote place wash over us as we prepared for the adventures that lay ahead.
