Day 16: Chilling Experience at the Glaciarium Ice Museum

Today, we moved to El Calafate, the final destination of our Patagonia journey, where we’ll be staying for three nights. The hotel overlooks the vast and stunning Lago Argentina, with its clear, blue waters glistening under the sunlight—an impressive sight that adds to the beauty of the surroundings.

After checking into our hotel, Esplendor El Calafate, we took a shuttle bus to explore the town.

One of the highlights of the day was our visit to the Glaciarium Ice Museum, a truly unique experience. The inside of the museum was kept at around -10°C, and we were given special clothing to help withstand the cold. Though we couldn’t stay inside for too long due to the freezing temperatures, the visit was incredibly fun and informative. The museum even had a bar made entirely of ice, where we warmed ourselves up with a drink—a perfect way to cap off our frosty adventure!
