Day 11 of our underwater adventure led us to the intriguing wreck of the Ann—a unique dive site that stands as a testament to both human ingenuity and nature's resilience.

Unlike many WWII wrecks in the area, the Ann was intentionally sunk along a sandy slope to create an artificial reef, offering a haven for marine life to thrive.
As we descended into the depths, we were greeted by a mesmerizing sight—a hard coral adorned with vibrant Christmas tree worms, their colorful plumes swaying gently in the current. Slowly, we made our way to the wreck, where we were met with an abundance of life. The sandy seabed surrounding the ship was home to a bustling community of garden eels, their slender bodies swaying rhythmically in the water.

Exploring the wreck itself felt like entering a secret garden beneath the waves. We encountered a myriad of little wonders, from a funeral nudibranch laying its eggs in delicate white clusters reminiscent of roses, to swimming flatworms gliding gracefully through the water. A pipefish was seen on a rotting bottle, while a beautiful clam nestled among the coral formations. Amidst these treasures, we also caught sight of a velvet snail, its appearance striking yet strangely captivating.

Our second dive took us to Fisherman's Point, a site teeming with life resembling a vibrant underwater garden. Here, the highlight of the dive was a fleeting glimpse of an octopus, although it remained hidden within its rocky abode, adding an air of mystery to our underwater exploration.

During the third dive of the day, we encountered anemonefish with grey stripes, a sight that struck us as unusual and intriguing, adding to the diversity of marine life we encountered throughout the day.

As we resurfaced from our dives, we couldn't help but marvel at the wonders we had witnessed beneath the waves. The wreck of the Ann and Fisherman's Point had offered us a glimpse into a world of beauty and intrigue—a world where nature and human artistry intertwine to create a truly magical underwater realm.
