Today brought a truly memorable experience as we ventured to Cojimar, a charming fishing village near Hemingway’s Finca Vigía. Our day was filled with culinary discovery, starting with a delightful cooking class where we learned to prepare iconic Cuban dishes such as ropa vieja and lobster. The hands-on lessons were both fun and enriching, offering a deeper appreciation of Cuba’s gastronomic heritage.

Before diving into the kitchen, we were invited to explore an organic garden, where we were introduced to an impressive variety of herbs and fruit plants. Each plant came with fascinating explanations of its medicinal properties, making this visit not only engaging but also incredibly informative. I only wish I had taken notes to remember all the wonderful remedies they shared!





















After cooking, we turned our attention to mastering the art of Mojito mixology. Guided by experts, we learned the perfect balance of mint, lime, and rum to create this refreshing Cuban classic.

The highlight of the experience was sitting down to enjoy a leisurely lunch featuring the dishes we had prepared ourselves. It was a unique and satisfying way to savor the fruits of our labor, and the joy of sharing stories over a delicious homemade meal made it all the more special.



To perfectly round off the meal, we were treated to a renowned Cuban coffee ceremony. The experience was as delightful as it was distinctive, combining the rich aroma of freshly brewed
