After our visit to the Yakushima Lighthouse, we ventured into the world natural heritage site area, Seiburindo. Our journey began with a grand welcome from a majestic Banyan tree standing tall by the roadside. The tree’s sprawling branches and lush greenery created a captivating entrance to this renowned area.

As we continued, we encountered the adorable Yakushika deer. We saw males, females, and even a family of these delightful creatures. Their heart-shaped white butts added to their charm, making them an unforgettable sight.

Unfortunately, we could not complete the round trip of the island. A part of Seiburindo was closed due to damage caused by a typhoon a few months ago (August 2023). Consequently, we had to retrace our steps and head back the way we came.
