Going Where the Road Takes Me – Day 12

A grey and very windy day today ☁️🌪️

Not the best for island hopping,

so we decided to explore along the coast instead.

First we discovered a small, quiet beach

– it would be perfect for a lazy summer day

if only the sun was out ☀️🩵

Then we followed a path to the next town, Brist.But nothing was open – no cafés, no bars, hardly anyone around.

“Surely the next town will be better,” we thought…

So we kept walking,

about an hour, to Gradac.

And guess what?

Same story – cafés, restaurants, even the market

– all completely closed 😳🤣

So, back we went…

to our own year-round bar & restaurant:

California 🍷🍴(the camper)

Aperitif, a light meal,

and even a nap upstairs in the van 😴

Later, a short stroll on the other side of the beach

– but again, everything closed.

This area must be buzzing in summer,

but right now it feels completely asleep.

Still,

it turned into a wonderfully slow and peaceful day 🩵
