Today was the opposite of yesterday’s sunshine
– cloudy, windy, cold, and eventually rainy ☔️
Not the best weather for the coast,
so we decided to use the day for driving further south.

With the sea and sky the same grey color,
it felt right to head inland.

Tomorrow should improve a little,
so we made our way toward Plitvice Lakes National Park
– a UNESCO World Heritage site with 16 lakes connected by waterfalls,
famous for its emerald and turquoise waters.

Tonight we’re staying at a small mountain guesthouse near the park.
Too chilly here for camping 🥶

Dinner was at the hotel restaurant:
24h slowly cooked lam for me 🐑
a comforting warm soup and wild boar goulash fro him 🐷

All are delicious 😋
The perfect way to end a grey and rainy day.
Fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow! 🤞🌤️
