Today, I had a whole day appointment with Uchimura Sensei, my kimono dressing teacher from Reiwajuku (https://reiwajuku.jp). Having learned the art of kimono dressing online, today was a special opportunity to meet her in person and spend time together in kimono.

After dressing in our kimonos, we enjoyed a quick lunch at a nearby hotel, engaging in lively conversation.
We first visited a small but beautiful Japanese garden, a place of tranquility and beauty, offering a serene escape. Then, we did not miss the opportunity to visit the Hakozakigu Shrine, which is just next to the garden.

Next, we strolled through Rakusuien, a traditional Japanese garden with a picturesque pond. Here, I had my first experience tasting real matcha. Being with Uchimura Sensei was a stroke of luck, as she guided me on how to truly appreciate the delicate flavour of the matcha.
