Arrival in Fukuoka: Embracing the Early Christmas Spirit

We arrived in Fukuoka, marking the final destination of our Kyushu trip. Hakata was already in full Christmas mode, more luminous and festive than back in Luxembourg and other European countries.

After checking into the hotel (Canal City Fukuoka Washington Hotel: https://washington-hotels.jp/fukuoka/), we strolled around to soak in the early Christmas atmosphere. At Hakata Station, we discovered Christmas markets with even more stands than in Luxembourg. It was fun to wander through the festive stalls.  

On our way back to the hotel, we stopped by an Izakaya and enjoyed a nice, relaxed dinner.
