After the memorable and adventurous experience in Yakushima, we are now back to the mainland.
It was around 12:30 we landed. We immediately picked up a rent-a-car and hop we go again. We headed to the north. We saw that the autumon-leaves season is becoming to end and winter is quickly approaching.

We had a light lunch on the way, at Michi-no-eki, a roadside station that is designed by the government as a rest area along roads and highways. It is also a good experience. We are moving around like Japanese residents!

The first stop of the day was Tsujun Bridge, a stonework of the bridge in 1854.
This arch-type aqueduct bridge is designated as a nationally designated important cultural property. It was unfortunate that we could not see the water cannon, but still was a nice visit.

It was already after 16:00 and the sun is quickly going down. So, we headed to the tonight's hotel. It is located just next to the famous Takachihokyou (Takachiho Gorge) and a sylish hotel unlike the old style surroundings.

For dinner, we went to a Izakaya near by. We liked the local atmosphere very much.
