We woke up to a beautiful sunrise, visible through the large window in our room. Watching the dark sky gradually turn red and then brighten was a breathtaking experience. The monorail was already in operation, adding a sense of early morning activity.

We started our day with a relaxing soak in the open-air bath in our room, enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in the panoramic view. It was a perfect start to the day.

Breakfast was another delightful experience, featuring local specialties like Satsuma-jiru, a hearty miso soup with chicken and vegetables, and Satsumaage, a type of deep-fried fish cake.

By the time we finished, the sun was high in the sky, promising another beautiful day. We were ready to move!

For lunch, we met friends at a very delicious sushi restaurant, Sushi Kaoru (+81 99-223-0395). The meal was voluminous, and it was a challenge to eat everything, but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

After our copious lunch, we took a walk around Shiroyama Park to help with digestion. Although the autumn colors were not as vibrant this year, we were delighted to find a large, beautifully colored tree in the park.

Then, we headed back to Kirishima, traveling once again through the scenic autumn-colored road.

Since we needed to wake up very early the next morning to catch a flight to Yakushima, we stayed in a simple hotel. Despite being rather modest compared to the other places we've stayed, it was still comfortable and had an open-air bath in our room, allowing us to relax before bed.
