Retreat to Tranquility: KAI Yufuin's Serene Oasis

We arrived at KAI Yufuin,  once again early in the afternoon.

This establishment is nestled in the middle of nowhere, yet even more beautiful than yesterday.

From our room, we could see rice fields, although it was a bit of a shame as everything had been harvested for the season. The rice field was rather brown instead of green. However, we felt lucky to witness the drying straw, a rare opportunity as we cannot predict the exact timing.

An enchanting pendant light in the room, designed to resemble flying fireflies. added a magical and serene atmosphere to our experience.

We spent some time on the large terrace, sunbathing and admiring the beautiful rice fields below.

The open-air bath was stunning, offering a close-up view of Mount Yufu. Unfortunately, I missed taking any photos. Next time...

After the bath, we enjoyed another excellent dinner.

The highlight of the evening was Momonji nabe, a shabu-shabu dish featuring a unique assortment of meats including badger, deer, boar, and beef. This special culinary experience was both adventurous and delicious.
